Dress Code

             

 

1.      Shoes must be worn at all times.  No flip-flops, house shoes, or slippers.

 

2.      Apparel shall be adequate in both length and coverage to be considered appropriate for school.  Shorts and skirts must be as long as to be even with the middle finger tip when arms are hanging loosely at their sides.

3.      Pants shall be worn and fastened at the waist.

 

4.      Shirts or blouses shall be appropriately fastened in accord with the design of that shirt or blouse, even if wearing two shirts.

 

5.      Transparent or see-through tops, bare midriff, strapless and low cut-clothing, or tops and outfits that provide minimum coverage or are of a suggestive nature are muscle shirts, or any clothing that may be distracting are prohibited; Halters, backless dresses, tube tops, tank tops, or any other clothing that may be distracting are prohibited.  These are not even allowed under a second shirt.  A good way to test the length of the shirt-blouse is to stretch your arms above your head and if you can see the midriff while you are doing this then the shirt-blouse is to short.

 

6.      Any articles of clothing or jewelry that could likely cause injury such as belts, chains, bracelets, rings, or chokers with or without spikes or studs are prohibited.  Wallet chains of any length are prohibited.  This includes thick chains and large charms.

 

7.      Apparel, emblems, insignias, badges, or symbols that promote the use of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, sex, or any illegal activity are prohibited.

 

8.      Apparel or symbols that may be gang or cult related are prohibited, which includes bandanas.

 

9.      Adornments that are attached (pierced) to exposed body parts other than the ears are prohibited, which includes tongue rings.

 

10. The wearing on campus of hats, caps, headgear, or sunglasses except in conjunction with designated school-approved uniforms or at authorized athletic practices is prohibited.

 

11. Clothing with slogans or advertising which is controversial or obscene can disrupt the educational setting is prohibited.

 

12. Belts are to be worn with all pants. 

 

13. Tops must have straps that are at least three inches wide and cut in a manner so as not to expose any undergarments.  They also cannot be too low cut under the arms.

 

14. Jackets or sweaters cannot be used to cover up a dress code violation.

 

15. Hair, if dyed, must be dyed in a natural color such as blonde, brown, brunette, etc.

 

16. Shirts, blouses, tops, etc. that reach to the top of the pocket area must be tucked in at all times.
